oh.... thats disgusting............. do it again >:9

[ when his explanation of dango is met with the world's most confused look, tsurumaru puts his hands on his hips, his expression not unlike the frowny symbol he spoke about ten seconds ago. wasn't this common knowledge? dango for fatigue, charms for protection against breaking, koban for new wallpaper, and so forth. ]

What do you mean, "that's it"? Dango does so much more than that.

[ but before he can explain, he's taken to the sweets stand, where something is promptly stuck into his mouth, mid-gasp. did he just—? immediately, there's a muffled sound as he reaches for the end of the stick, pulling it back out of his mouth. yeesh, hiji!! this is not the kind of surprise he's into... ]

Don't just— [ and he'd complain, except he's taken a bite into the dango, and 1. he recognizes it, but 2. it's not the dango that he knows... where are its magical healing qualities??? however, 3. as much as he wants to stab hijikata with the dango stick, too, the dango is actually.... pretty sweet.... and he likes it...... a lot... so he holds onto it instead, chewing loudly. ]

I mean, as swords, we're not used to eating unless we have to, so food's pretty strange to us.

[ a huff. ] We get it from the Citadel! Our Saniwa, and everything. We go out to our sorties — battles, we fight these monster-ish things, instead of other people or other swords, and then we become stronger. At first, the whole system's kind of hard to get used to, but you get used to it in a few days.

Is that weird?
